Barely two weeks to the 2023 general elections, the chairman of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ika North East of Delta State, Hon. Chukwudi Agbomah, has expressed confidence in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Hon. Agbomah made this known during a chat with newsmen at his office in Boji-Boji Owa, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State.

He said based on the successes recorded in the course of the just concluded mock election, INEC has improved positively.

“I was told that about 903 persons were accredited and the process was faster, we pray that during the election proper, the newly introduced BVAS will work effectively,” Agbomah said.

“The exercise has gone a long way to prove their level of preparation and having discovered any lapses, corrections would have been made before the election period,” he stated.

While commending INEC’S level of preparation, he urged the electorate to go out en masse to cast their votes for the candidates of their choice.​

Speaking further, the party chairman noted that other areas that need attention are sensitization of voters and more security during the period.

He urged all eligible voters in the locality who have not collected the Permanent Voter Cards to as a matter of urgency endeavor to do so.

“Let me use the opportunity to enjoin Deltans to be ready to cast their votes for Atiku and Okowa, as well as Hon. Oborevwori for governor, and all PDP candidates,” he stated.
