The election into the House of Representatives in Esan Central/Esan West/Igueben Federal Constituency in Edo State earlier scheduled for February 25, 2023, has been postponed to March 11, 2023 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The postponement was occasioned by the unavailability of the Labour Party logo on the ballot paper produced for the election.

Reacting to the postponement, the speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Marcus Onobun, described it as painful and disheartening, but said he would prepare towards the new date.
