The Chairman of Ndokwa West Local Government Council, Chief Obi Nzete, has presented the 2023 budget estimate of N11,672,021,481.54 to the Legislative Arm of the council for consideration.

Presenting the budget to the Ndokwa West legislators at the Council’s Chamber, Kwale, Chief Nzete said that the total Recurrent was N4,504,921,481.54, while the total Capital Expenditure stood at N7,167,100,000.00 only.

The council boss stressed that the annual budget was a document that would direct or guide the financial transaction of the council within the fiscal year.

He appealed to the honourable members to consider the provisions dispassionately and give expeditious passage which would facilitate the realization of the goals of the administration.

The budget which was christened “Budget of Hope” would focus on Human capital development, re-activation of farm projects on a commercial basis, empowering farmers for sustainable development, building/maintenance of landmark projects, and improving on revenue generation.

Responding, the Leader of the legislative arm, Hon. Ndubuisi Okoloafor assured the chairman that the legislators would do justice to the budget estimate.

The seventh (7th) Assembly of the Legislative Arm has adopted the budget as a working tool and also passed a vote of confidence on the Chairman, Chief Obi Nzete.
