A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, Chief (Dr) Akpufuoma Pemu, has asked Nigerians to vote massively for the party and its candidates in the coming elections, assuring that only PDP could rescue the country’s dwindling economy.
Pemu stated this in a chat with newsmen in Asaba, Delta State capital.
According to him, the bad economy had affected citizens in no small measure and the APC-led administration had done little or nothing to address it.
“If you look at the economy today, everything is just going in the wrong direction, ranging from depreciation of the naira, high prices of goods and services, high cost of building materials, brain drain, insecurity and, most recently, no fuel, no money,” Pemu stated.
He frowned at the apparent cluelessness of the present APC-led administration to find solutions to the problems.
“It is glaring that APC cannot help this country to come out of this present situation as the party goes about introducing policies that cause more pain and hardship to the masses,” he said.
He therefore appealed to Nigerians to use their PVCs to vote for all PDP candidates to rescue the nation from its present predicament.
