As the second round of the 2023 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) resumed on Saturday, March 25 as scheduled, Group A leaders Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin are in the tough terrain of the elephants’ jungle as they face former two-time CAF Champions Enyimba International FC in a return leg fixture on Sunday (today), March 26 at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba, Abia state capital.
The Week 10 match between the People’s Elephants and the Benin Arsenals has been tagged the star match of the day. The kick-off time is 4 PM.
Bendel Insurance FC was a better side with a 1-0 win over Enyimba International Football Club of Aba in the first-round fixture played on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.
The table toppers, Insurance, look ready to continue in their spectacular form in the second stanza. The Benin Arsenals will be filing out today without their central defense strongman, Tanimu Benjamin, who is currently with the National U-23 team. The captain of the team, Maurice Prince, will also be missing as he is yet to fully recover from injury.
The coach, Monday Odigie led Insurance are however not troubled by the injury concerns which also kept their big central defender, Jide Williams away as they have a good replacement.

The Benin Arsenals are going into the second-round battle with Enyimba with confidence, having been rated the best team in the first round with a near-perfect record of unbeaten runs.
Insurance leads group A with 23 points after recording seven victories and two draws in the nine matches played so far.
