The Super Falcons are set to play in the 2023 FIFA World Cup in Australia/New Zealand.

The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has revealed plans for the Super Falcons to play grade A friendly game ahead of the 2023 World Cup, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Randy Waldrum’s side has played a series of friendly games ahead of the competition, and with just three months left till the start of the competition, the NFF has made robust plans to help the team excel.

The NFF has guaranteed that it will do more to prepare the Super Falcons with top friendly match in Europe and a two-week camping in Australia before the kick-off date.

Recall that the Super Falcon’s defeated New Zealand 3-0 in their last friendly game in April, a signal of the team’s readiness.

The West Africans are drawn in Group B with Australia, Canada and the Republic of Ireland.

The tournament will be jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand, and is scheduled to take place from 20 July to 20 August 2023, with New Zealand v Norway the opening game.

Moreso, this edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup, will be the first to feature the expanded format of 32 teams from the previous 24.
