President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated Anthony Joshua for his win over Jermaine Franklin, calling the win a stepping stone to more comebacks for him in boxing history.
The President in a Tweet on Sunday said: “I celebrate @Anthonyjoshua’s victory over a formidable opponent. He has demonstrated that through hard work, dedication, discipline, persistence and humility, those who dare do win.”
Buhari further added that this win will serve as a “stepping stone to one of the greatest comebacks in boxing history.
Recall that Anthony Joshua defeated his opponent, Jermaine Franklin after a 12-round unanimous decision by three judges on 117-11 and 118-111 points in favour of Anthony Joshua at the O2 Arena in London, England.
