The fit-again Nigeria international has the perfect chance to prove his class in Tuesday’s quarter-final second-leg showdown with AC Milan.

Napoli and AC Milan will face off for the fourth time this season when they play in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Tuesday, Kick-off time: 21:00 (CEST), with assigned referee, Istvan Kovacs.

It seems as though both sides are unhappy with how the first leg at San Siro went on Wednesday night, with Milan feeling that they should have had two penalties after Rade Krunic was hauled down during a corner and Alexis Saelemaekers was tripped, sempremilan reports.

Napoli meanwhile lost two players to suspension, the first being Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa who received two yellow cards in quick succession and was sent off, and the second being Kim Min-jae who was booked for dissent. Giovanni Simeone is out injured.

According to Daily Post, Napoli Defender, Juan Jesus, believes having Victor Osimhen back from injury will give the Partenopei an extra incentive to beat AC Milan.

Luciano Spalletti’s side lost the first leg 1-0 last week with Osimhen missing the tie as a result of a muscle injury.

The Nigerian was back in action in Napoli’s 3-3 draw against Hellas Verona last weekend.

Jesus insisted that they are confident of beating their Serie A rivals with Osimhen back in the squad.

“I think that is a problem for the Milan defence, as Victor is our top scorer, he is in good shape and always shows that grit and hunger to do more,” the Brazilian told a press conference on Monday.”

The 24-year-old has scored four goals in five appearances for the Partenopei in the competition this season.

Milan have played against Napoli 172 times in their history across all competitions, winning 69 of those games with 52 draws and 51 losses. Among teams they have played over 100 times, there aren’t many against whom the Diavolo have a lower win percentage.
