The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has warned the general public to be wary of some information currently circulating on social media to the effect that the Commission is accepting applications for 2023/2024.

In a statement signed by Wilson Uwujaren, Head, Media & Publicity, and made available via its Twitter handle, the Commission said there is no recruitment currently going on, adding that such information is false and the handiwork of fraudsters.

Uwujaren noted that the fraudsters mischievously added career to the Commission’s Website address to read efcc.gov.ng/career, giving semblance to the genuineness of their schemes.

The statement reads: “The attention of the EFCC has been drawn to some information circulating in the social media, inviting unsuspecting applicants to submit applications through a dubious EFCC Recruitment 2023/2024 Application Portal dated 7th April, 2023.

“The fraudsters mischievously added career to the Commission’s Website address to read efcc.gov.ng/career, giving semblance to the genuineness of their schemes.
