Gwarinpa, Abuja’s largest estate was thrown into crisis on Monday when a communal clash broke out between Gbagyi natives and Hausa residents. The crisis took place at the 3rd Avenue Gwarinpa area of the estate on Monday.
The cause of the tribal clash was not immediately known as at the time of writing this report.

A source at the scene of the fight said security operatives have arrived to restore peace in the area.

There have been reports of frequent skirmishes between the natives and Hausas whom the natives claim want to takeover their accessorial land and dominate it.

About two years ago, violent clash occurred between Fulanis and Gbagyi in Bwari, the capital of Bwari Area Council over the traditional leadership of the area.

Lives and several properties were lost to the crisis.
