His Royal Majesty, Agbogidi Obi Nduka of Issele Uku in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, has expressed the preparedness of his people to support genuine efforts to make Issele Uku great.

Obi Nduka stated this in his palace when the Director of Environmental Health in the local government council, Raphael Onwuegbuzie, and his staff paid him a courtesy visit.

The monarch recalled that, in time past, his subjects mobilised human and material resources to support the council to rid Issele Uku metropolis of refuse, adding that the council could not show sufficient commitment to synergise the initiative for optimal results.

Obi Nduka, who advocated for a holistic approach in clearing refuse and opening of blocked drainages in the town, particularly within the African market axis, advised the Head of the Department of Health and Environment in the council to discuss with the chairman of the council, Hon. Kevin Okwechime, and solicit approval to enable him achieve his noble intention to make Issele Uku cleaner and beautiful.

Earlier,Onwuegbuzie stated that they were in the palace for the royal blessing of the monarch in preparedness to rid Issele Uku of filth. While soliciting the cooperation from the community in assisting in sensitising the residents on the need for regular environmental sanitation exercises in the town, he said the cleaning up exercises would commence soon with utmost sense of commitment more than ever before.

He said that arrangements had been concluded to sustain the sanitation exercise at regular intervals, until noticeable result was recorded.

He affirmed that arrangements had been made to checkmate flooding through the opening up of the blocked drainages and the provision of basket profile as well as flood plain basin with discharge points.
