Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin on Sunday extended their unbeaten run in the 2023 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) as they came from a goal down to draw 1-1 with Remo Stars at Ikenne.

Kwame Mawuna scored for Remo Stars in the 16th minute to send the Ikenne fans into wild jubilation, but the celebration of the home fans was shortlived by Divine Nwachukwu’s goal four minutes later.

The Benin Arsenals’ playmaker, Divine Nwachukwu, was timely with right back Ebuka Akobundu’s assist, as he jabbed the ball into the net to register his name in the NPFL scoresheet and helped the invincible side to maintain their unbeaten run after 14 matches.
