The 2023 NPFL-LALIGA U-15 Promise League kicked of on Thursday as scheduled, immediately after the opening ceremony as hosts and defending champions Remo Stars kids defeated their Lobi Stars counterparts 3-2 in the opening game of the tournament.

Remo Stars were down by 2-0 in the first half but woke up from their slumber in the second half and came from behind to score trice to win the entertaining game.

Goals scored by Emmanuel Adebayo (35), Opeyemi Yusuf (60+4) and Seun Akanji fantastic bicycle kick strike (60+7′) helped to restore Remo Stars’ pride.

Kenneth Mshi’s brace (21′ 25 minutes goals) had given Lobi Stars the first half lead over the hosts.

Meanwhile, Bendel Insurance Feeders are paired against Enyimba FC in their Group C first match scheduled to hold on Friday at 9:15 AM.

The Baby Insurance Skipper, Osaigbovo Enobakhare, while reacting to the fixture pairing them against the Baby Jumbos from Aba, said that the Junior Insurance are in high spirit and not afraid of any opponents in the Group.

Insurance Feeders made their first appearance in the NPFL-LALIGA U-15 tournament in 2019 following their senior brothers’ promotion from the NNL after eleven years absence in the Premier League.

Insurance FC are back to the NPFL with a bang as they currently lead Group A with 27 points, four points clear of Akwa Utd who occupy the second position.

Insurance FC remain unbeaten in the current season and will be guests to Remo Stars who are 3rd on the log with 22 points in week 14 fixtures scheduled for Sunday.
