Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate and former governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu, has lost his wife, Ifeoma.
Mrs. Ifeoma Ada Kalu was said to have died in the United States of America, aged 61.
Announcing her death on his verified Facebook page, Kalu described his late wife as a woman of virtue who was committed to the service of God and humanity.
“A memorial service in her honour is scheduled to hold in the United States of America (USA),” he said.
Kalu requested for prayers for the deceased and her loved ones “at this difficult period”.
“May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Amen,” he said.
