Benin City, the Edo State capital, last Saturday witnessed the official launch of the first health-value fast-food restaurant and bar established by Chief Ambrose Osuan, a prominent palace chief of the Benin Kingdom.

In his address to declare the outfit, christened “Costfromi Big Apple Restaurant and Bar” open, the chief launcher of the ceremony, Chief Uyinmwen Okungbowa said the ultra-modern bar and restaurant, first of its kind to be undertaken by any individual in the entire country, is a product of several years of investment in extensive research in human dietary health needs.

Chief Okungbowa, while commending Chief Ambrose Osuan for addressing the health needs of different individuals using modern assessment in dietary science, healthy nutrition in concert with modern practice in medicine, also eulogized the visionary qualities and astuteness of the prominent Benin palace chief in the actualization of his lifelong dream of promoting good healthy living in Edo State by providing affordable healthy diets according to acceptable international standards.

He expressed his optimism that the opening of the outfit in Benin City will reduce to the barest minimum the high incidents of unexpected deaths as a result of irregular and poor feeding behaviour of people without paying adequate attention to the health needs of individual body system based on the blood group system.

Costfromi Big Apple Restaurant and Bar is conceptualized as an outfit designed to achieve success in the area of the health needs and wellness of its teeming customers, speaking earlier, Chief Jenny Atakpo said.

She said the vision and mission of the restaurant as the first to make inroad into health needs of people is to promote a healthy society, which depends on the quality of services it renders in meeting the daily dietary health needs according to international standards.
