The outgone Delta State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Isaiah Bozimo has harped on the need for Delta State Law Association to focus on the newly emerging areas in law in their various capacity-building programmes.

Bozimo, who gave the advice in Asaba when the new executives of Delta State Law Students Association paid him a courtesy call, said that the idea was to ensure that law students were much abreast of the aspects of the law.

He said that awareness of the lawyers, especially the younger ones, should go beyond general practice and urged them to look at how artificial intelligence could take a prominent place in the field of technology.

While congratulating the association on the emergence of new executives and for embarking on activities that would add value to their lives, Bozimo enjoined them to consolidate their capacity-building initiatives.

He told them to ensure that law students were receiving the guides and information they needed, stressing that they should identify people who could deliver on their requirements to excel as lawyers.

The outgone Attorney-General disclosed that the state Ministry of Justice recently launched a website where the ministry would house all judgments of the state high courts.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Mr. Innocent Ighoavworua, said they were in the office of the outgone attorney-general to solicit the support of the ministry for their activities, especially their conferences, and to introduce the new executives of the association to him.

In a related development Campus Fellowship Group paid a courtesy visit to the commissioner where they presented books to him.

Addressing the group, Mr. Bozimo thanked them for the gifts, adding that they should be more committed to the advancement of the doctrines of Christ while also taking their studies seriously.

In his remarks, Mr. Chris Emeka, the spokesperson of the group, said that as a representative of the campus fellowship, they came to thank the commissioner for the support given to them before and during their conference, just as he described the attorney-general as a humble and accessible individual.
