The newly-elected Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, says the 10th National Assembly will introduce legislation to promote entrepreneurship and support small and medium-scale enterprises.

TheCable reported that Abbas, in his inaugural speech on Tuesday, pledged to work closely and inter-dependently with the executive and judiciary to give Nigerians the good governance they deserve.

The Speaker while calling for teamwork among his colleagues, emphasized that under his watch, the House of Representatives would promote bills that will significantly impact positively on the livelihood of Nigerians, diversify our economy, and provide sustainable employment opportunities.

“Through legislation, the 10th House will promote entrepreneurship and support small and medium-scale enterprises. We shall diversify our economy and provide sustainable employment opportunities for our youth. We are aware of the challenges in our education, healthcare, and infrastructure sectors amongst others,” Abbas said.
