Access Holdings, the parent company of Access Bank, has announced the appointment of Iyabo Soji-Okusanya as Executive director, for the corporate and investment division of Access Bank. This notice followed the approval of her appointment by the Central Bank of Nigeria, the tier-one bank announced through a notice to the Nigerian Exchange Group.

According to the notice, Soji-Okusanya is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience, spanning corporate, commercial, accounting and human capital development.

“She has deep institutional knowledge of the bank, worked with the institution for over 25 years and successfully executed critical projects, including the development of several banking products,” Access Holdings stated.

She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Ilorin and also Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

Soji-Okusanya has also attended leadership development courses at Harvard University Business School, Institute of Management Development (IMD), Lausanne Switzerland as well as INSEAD in France.

In a similar development, the board of directors of Chemical and Allied Products has elected Folasope Aiyesimoju as the chairman of the board, effective from June 15, 2023. His election followed the retirement of Awuneba Ajumogobia.

Before his latest position, Aiyesimoju was appointed as a non-executive director of the company on October 5, 2021.

“Aiyesimoju is currently the Group Managing Director of UAC of Nigeria Plc with responsibility for shaping overall strategy and driving long-term value creation. He holds a BSc(Hons) degree in Estate Management from the University of Lagos, Akoka while in 2006, he became a CFA charter holder.

Before now, he had worked with Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, a leading global investment firm. He also worked with the Standard Bank Group, where he led mergers and acquisitions, just as he spent the early part of his career with Ocean and Oil Holdings Limited, a principal investment firm in Nigeria and ARM Investment Managers, one of Nigeria’s leading investment advisory and wealth management firms.
