Victims of the fire outbreak at the Boji-Boji Main Market (Garage) have cried out for help. They appealed to the Delta State Government and public-spirited Nigerians to come to their aid. The fire outbreak which occurred was allegedly caused by a power surge.

Speaking to newsmen, one of the victims, Mr. Jaycee Chinedu, an electronics dealer, said that he was at home when he got a call that his store was on fire.

According to him, “Before I arrived at the scene of the incident, all my goods worth millions of naira in my shop had been razed by the fire.”

Also speaking, Mr. Chimason Inwirika of Chimason Don Electronics Limited disclosed that he left about N800,000 he took as a loan from an association to support his business in the shop and that the money was also consumed by the inferno.

“I recently spent over N5 million to buy goods and I was yet to sell them to recover the money. This is a serious temptation,” he added.

Another Victim of the incident is Mr. Michael who said he was at Agbor-Nta for a meeting when the incident occurred. He stated that he got the information that his shop had been razed on his way home.

Mr. Ogo claimed that he lost goods worth several millions of naira and called on the state government and public-spirited individuals to come to his aid. Several other victims spoke alike, calling for immediate help to rekindle their businesses.
