Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has become the first African artiste to reach 1 billion streams on Audiomack.

The feat was confirmed by Audiomack, a global music streaming platform, on Twitter.

“Congratulations Burna Boy, on becoming the first African artiste to hit 1 billion Audiomack streams, ” Audiomack tweeted on Thursday evening.

This comes as another huge feather to the cap of the African giant just weeks after he became the first African artiste to sell out the 80,000-capacity London stadium.

The “Sitting on top of world” crooner is also set to become the first African artiste to host and headline a stadium concert in the USA on July 8, 2023.

Burna Boy was the talk of town last weekend after he failed to appear for a show at GelreDome Stadium, Arnhem, Netherlands, leaving thousands of fans stranded. He, however, later announced July 23, 2023 as the new date for the show.
