A prominent Itsekiri group under the auspices of the Eyinmisanren Descendants Union Worldwide has lauded the Olu of Warri, Atuwatse III, for the conferment of the title of Ologbotsere on Chief Oma Eyewuoma.

The group made this known in a press statement signed by the Chairman, James Ereku, and the Secretary, Jolomi Odelia.

“The conferment of the prestigious title of the Ologbotsere of Warri on an illustrious and deserving son of the Ologbotsere Eyinmisanren descendants of Warri in the person of Chief Oma Eyewuoma is a wise decision from a wise king,” the statement added.

The group also thanked the Olu for taking away their shame and forgiving the misdemeanor of their son, former Ologbotsere, who almost drag the family name in the mud.

It maintained that choosing Chief Eyewuoma was a perfect replacement that would restore the dignity and honour of the family.

The group also distanced itself from the lawsuit filed against the decision of the royal father by some members of the Ologbotsere Eyinmisanren descendants.

“We categorically condemn in the strong term, the calculated plans by some people within the Ologbotsere Eyinmisanren who used the name of our family in instituting a lawsuit against His Royal Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri; Chief Eyewuoma and the Attorney General of Delta State and Commissioner of Justice,” it added.
