Abdullahi Maikaba has left his role as Enugu Rangers manager following the expiration of his contract.

The 58 years old took charge of the flying Antelopes in 2021 and failed to guide them to a continental ticket in his 2 seasons in charge after his side’s narrow 1-0 loss to Bendel Insurance in the Federation Cup finals on Wednesday.

The coach said Rangers will continue to have a place in his heart as his journey with them ends, Daily Post reports.

“It has been a fruitful two years of working in Enugu that saw us compete for honours in various competitions and got to the finals of this year’s Federation Cup which we lost narrowly,” he said to the club’s media during his farewell message.
