Napoli President, Aurelio De Laurentiis, addressed the future of Star Striker Victor Osimhen during the press presentation of their new Manager Rudi Garcia.

According to football Italia, the Napoli chief said the club had a basic agreement for a two years extension but also insisted that club might consider a sale if they receive an offer they could not refuse.

“I have said for a while that Osimhen has to stay. Then, if an offer came in that I could not refuse for the good of Napoli, then we would consider it, as is only natural,” he said.

In a statement while addressing the press during the press presentation of their new Manager Rudi Garcia, De Laurentiis further shed more light on Osimhen situation: “We already talked to Osimhen before the Scudetto celebration, so we already have a basic agreement on a two-year extension of his contract. The other players, that is something we need to study with Rudi, because I have for many years been convinced that pre-season training is fundamental.

Osimhen’s current contract with Napoli runs till June 2025. The Nigerian forward initially arrived in Naples from Lille in September 2020 in a deal worth €75m plus bonuses.
The Super Eagles striker was instrumental to Napoli’s course in the just concluded season as he scored 26 leagues goals to guide them to their first league title in 33 years.

The Nigeria international has been linked with numerous clubs, including Manchester United, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Bayern Munich.
