…appoints Sen. Hadejia DCoS, Akume SGF

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially announced the appointment of Speaker of House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, as Chief of Staff, putting an end to speculations that had surrounded appointment to the position.

He also appointed Sen. Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, a former Deputy Governor of Jigawa State, as Deputy Chief of Staff, according to a statement by State House Director of Information, Abiding Oladunloye, on Friday.

In a meeting with Progressives Governors Forum (PGF), the President also named former Governor of Benue State and immediate past Minister of Special Duties, George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

Some online media, including The Nigerian Observer, had reported on Thursday that Tinubu appointed Gbajabiamila as his Chief of Staff. However, the report had been followed by denials from government sources.
