5. Boulaye Dia – 16 goals
On loan from Villarreal, the Senegalese forward impressed netting a total of 16 goals for Serie A side Salernitana. The 26-year-old finished as their top scorer this season.
6. Ademola Lookman -13 goals
Being the third Nigerian on this list, the former Leicester man has found new form since his move to Italian side Atalanta, scoring a total of 13 goals while providing 6 assists. He remarkably finished the season as the club’s top goal scorer and assist provider, helping them finish 5th in the league.
7. Mbala Nzola -13 goals
Sky Sports reports that the Angolan forward is one of the most underrated players in the Serie A, Scoring a total of 13 goals for Italian side Spezia. Despite his fine form in front of goal, he was unable to save the club from relegation, missing out on goal difference to narrow escapers Verona as they both ended the season with 31 points.
8. Nicolas Jackson – 12 goals
The 22-year-old Senegalese center forward who is on the brink of joining English giants Chelsea, as reported by sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, enjoined a fine goal-scoring form for Villarreal this season, netting 12 goals in the Spanish LaLiga.
He ended the season as Villarreal’s top goal scorer and second-most assist provider, one behind Nigeria’s Samuel Chukwueze with 6 assists.
9. Mama Balde – 12 goals
