‘We Dream a World’, a book authored by Yolanda Renee King, granddaughter of the late civil rights activist Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., is set to be published by Scholastic on January 2, 2024.

The book, according to the author, is a tribute to the late civil rights activist and his wife, Coretta Scott. The author in the book expresses her love for her grandparents and her hope for the future.

Martin Luther King Jr was a civil rights activist who was assassinated 55 years ago on April 4,1968. He spoke against racial discrimination in the United State of America as at the time he lived.

“I’m excited to share this love letter in his honor,” said 15-year-old Yolanda Renee King, daughter of Yolanda Dennis King and granddaughter of Martin Luther King Jr.

She expressed the hope that the people of her generation would find the book useful, adding, “This book let’s every child rediscover my grandparents’ dream.”

Scholastic described the book as a “call for unity and equality”.

The book, which is ready for pre-order, will be illustrated by award-winning Nicole Tadgell.
