The Chairman of Warri North Local Government Council, Honourable Smart Asekutu, has assured the people of the area of his administration’s resolve to finish strong and advance development in the area.
Hon. Asekutu made the assurance during an on-the-spot visit to the ongoing projects which include the construction of a new chairman’s office and fencing of the council secretariat.
“I came prepared with a mission to succeed and since then my eyes have not shifted from the goal of success, with the mind to vigorously pursue the mandate of the Warri North people,” he said.
He stated that the difficult terrain of the area had been a big challenge, but noted that he would not be discouraged in carrying out developmental projects to the riverine communities.
Asekutu revealed that the Ugbaboro Community Concrete Jetty was one of the projects dear to his heart, and expressed joy in the completion of the project, alongside others.
The council boss, however, promised the people of the LGA, of his administration’s readiness to complete all ongoing projects in the area, in line with the “MORE Agenda” of the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sherrif Oborevwori.
While appealing to all to bear with the present economic hardship in the country as a result of the fuel subsidy removal, he urged the people of Warri North to join hands with him so he could finish strong.
