In his bid to boost security in Agbor and environs, an entrepreneur and community advocate in Delta State, Mr. Victor Animele, has donated security gadgets to Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), Agbor Division.

Items presented to the group include dozens of uniforms, jungle caps, belts, jack knives, shockers, among others.

Making the presentation, the Agbor-born philanthropist commended the group for its effort in community policing, acknowledging that its impact had assisted the police and security operatives in securing lives and property in Agbor and environs.

He stated that the gesture was to ensure that the group was well-equipped and motivated to effectively discharge its duties, and also his way of giving back to the society.

Animele noted that the gadgets were strategic to enable the group meet the desired standard in tackling emerging dimensions of insecurity and criminality in Agbor and its environs.

He charged the security outfit to work in synergy with stakeholders and other security operatives.

While urging the vigilante not to relent in its commitment to protect lives and property, he promised to support them more.

In his remarks, the Divisional Vigilante Officer (DVO), Comr. Emmanuel Asiwe, commended Animele for his support to VGN.

He assured the donor that the gadgets would be put to proper use, reiterating the division’s dedication to optimal delivery of security service to the Agbor community and Delta State at large.

It would be recalled that Animele had some time ago refurbished the patrol van of the division as a way of encouraging its members.
