The Principal of Okwe Secondary School, Okwe, in Oshimili South Local Government Area, Mrs. Agolokigho Omujale, has appealed to Delta State Government (DTSG) to provide science laboratories and a library for the school.

Mrs. Omujale, who made the appeal in Asaba while speaking with newsmen, said that the call had become necessary to bridge the deficiencies in the student caused by the absence of a science laboratory and library.

The principal said that she had provided some furniture for the students in the school to enable them to learn in a conducive environment, stressing that the initiative was to increase the number of the existing ones in the school.

She reminded the contractor handling the construction of the toilet facilities in the school to ensure speedy completion of the project to ease the stress teachers and students pass through whenever they were pressed, especially as the rainy season was at its peak.

Omujale described the Permanent Secretary in the Delta State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Augustine Oghoro as an uncommon and unassuming, as well as a thoroughbred administrator, saying that his systematic efforts contributed towards the uplifting of education in the state.
