The Edo State House of Assembly on Wednesday confirmed Justice Daniel Iyobosa Okungbowa as the Chief Judge of the State.
The confirmation was sequel to the consideration of the report of the Joint Committee on Rules, Business and Government House and Judiciary on the screening of the nominee.
The Majority Leader of the House and Chairman, House Committee on Rules, Business and Government House, Hon. Charity Iguodala Aiguobareghian, while presenting the report for consideration at the committee of the whole said that the nominee has the requisite qualifications and experience required for the job.
Lawmakers during deliberations at the committee of the whole approved the one-point recommendation of the report that Justice Daniel Iyobosa Okungbowa be confirmed as the Chief Judge of Edo State.
Justice Okungbowa was appointed a High Court Judge in Edo State in 2001.
