The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) team led by the Ag. State Coordinator, Mr. Ehannire Theodore Osas were at Akleen Oil and Gas’s office on a sensitization exercise.

Having been received by the General Manager (GM) of Akleen Oil and Gas, the Ag. State Coordinator of NHIA went on to the Sensitization exercise. In his sensitization, he introduced the flagship program – GIFSHIP (Group Individual Family Social Health Insurance Program), and the OPS (Organized Private Sector) program stressing the difference between both programs.

Where the GIFSHIP is per individual potential enrollee, the OPS is a formal sector designed format for Organized Private Sector employment which takes care of the enrollee, their spouse, and four children below the age of 18 years as it applies in the formal sector.

The staff were pleased to have a program as this running in the state and were all set to key into the program. The GM thanked the NHIA team for finding time to clarify and sensitize them to these lofty programs.
