Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has sent out a note of appreciation to friends, associates and the good people of Edo for the outpouring of love and kind wishes on his birthday.

The governor, in a statement on Sunday, also appreciated the efforts of different groups in the state who organized and engaged in a clean-up exercise across the state as part of the celebration.

He thanked especially all those who heeded his call to contribute to the wellbeing of the children with special needs at the Roseluyi Exceptional Students Academy.

Recall that Governor Obaseki had, ahead of his birthday on Saturday, July 1, called on all those desirous of celebrating his birthday to channel all gifts to the children with special needs at the Roseluyi Exceptional Students Academy.

“Once again, I appreciate everyone who has made an effort to put a smile on the faces of the less privileged and contributed in various ways to the improvement of their communities in celebration of my birthday,” he said.

MY HEARTFELT GRATITUDE

I sincerely appreciate the outpouring of love and kind wishes from friends, associates and the good people of Edo State on the occasion of my birthday.

The show of love has been overwhelming. The efforts by different groups to organize and engage in a clean-up exercise across the state resonate deeply with the vision for a clean, safe and orderly state, which remains one of our cardinal programmes as a government.

I am grateful to all who heeded the call to contribute to the wellbeing of the children with special needs at the Roseluyi Exceptional Students Academy.

Once again, I appreciate everyone who has made an effort to put a smile on the faces of the less privileged and contributed in various ways to the improvement of their communities in celebration of my birthday.

God bless you all abundantly.

His Excellency,
Godwin Obaseki
Governor, Edo State
