With his imminent transfer to Manchester United, Andre Onana, the Cameroonian shot-stopper is set to become the third most expensive goalkeeper of all time after Kepa Arrizabalaga and Allison Becker, Sky Sports reports.
Manchester United and Inter Milan have reportedly reached a deal worth £47m for Andre Onana. However, Onana will sign a five-year deal with the option of a further year.
The Cameroon international would be a direct replacement for David De Gea, after the Spanish goalkeeper left the club as a free agent, after failing to reach an agreement with the club for a new deal. Onana arrives from Italy after spending just one season with Inter Milan where he played a crucial role for them as they reached the champions league final for the first time in 12 years keeping the most clean sheets in the competition.
Onana is a renowned ball-playing goalkeeper with his impeccable ability to play out from the back and beat the press. He is well familiar with the Manchester United coach, Erik Ten Hag, having played under the Dutchman from 2017 to 2022.
