America rapper, R n’ B singer and songwriter Tione Jayden Merritt, popularly known as LilTjay, has dropped his third studio album titled “222”.

The album, which dropped Friday, July 14, is believed to be Lil Tjay’s 5th released body of work. It is a hip-hop/rap melody with an average span of 46 minutes.

The 15-track album also features seven different artists like Chicago rapper PoloG, YoungBoy Never Broke Again alias NBA YoungBoy, fivio foreign and singer Coco Jones, as well as Australian rapper kid laroi

The album is coming a year after the rapper Lil Tjay was reportedly shot seven times on June 22, 2022, in what was regarded as an attempted robbery in Edgewater, New Jersey. He was immediately rushed to Hackensack University Medical Center for an emergency surgery which he later survived.

The rapper, who is signed to Columbias Record label, last year released a song titled “Beat the odd” in which he talked about how he survived the shooting.

In the “222” album Tjay incorporates the single “Beat the odd part 2” in which he featured rapper PoloG to voice his own part of life experience with his heartfelt lyrics.

Meanwhile, most tracks in the album talk about Lil Tjay’s life experience as a young rapper living in America while a few tracks saw the rapper giving thanks to God for everything, as seen in the last track of the album titled “Grateful” which features CocoJones.
