Samuel Chukwueze’s exit from Spanish side Villarreal is certain as his move to Serie A giants AC Milan nears completion, Onefootball reports.
According to transfer Guru Fabrizio Romano, “It is a Here we go” because personal terms have been agreed between the Nigerian winger and the Rossoneri. He is set to travel to Milan for his medical and official signing.
In a few hours, the 24-year-old is expected to be confirmed as part of the club.
AC Milan will pay a transfer fee of €20m upfront, and €8m in performance-related addons. The Club reportedly wants the winger to join the squad in their ongoing tour of the United States and is keen on getting the deal across the line as soon as possible.
The player had a really good 2022/23 season scoring 6 goals and was the highest assists provider for Villarreal with 5 assists. He has spent 4 years with Yellow Submarines after he signed for the Club as a 19-year-old in 2018.
His current contract is said to expire in 2024, and he has made it clear that he has no intention of resigning from the Spanish side. He has played over 200 games for Villarreal scoring 41 goals and providing 33 Assists he also won the UEFA Europa League with the Club in 2021.
