Residents of Edo Guest House Road, Ekpan, in Uvwie Local Government Area of the Delta Sate, have given kudos to Governor Sheriff Oboreowori for the drainage construction and re-surfacing of the Edo Guest House Road.

The residents stated this in Ekpan while speaking with journalists, noting that they were overwhelmed by the on-going construction work on the road.

They said that the regular flood been experienced on yearly basis, especially during the rainy season, would soon be a thing of the past.

The people thanked the state governor for remembering them in his plan barely few months he assumed office as the governor of the state, stating that Edo Guest House Road was an access road that link refinery and Jakpa roads.

Also speaking, some shops owners along the road, appreciated the Governor Oboreowori for the on-going construction work on the road and appealed to Roadwell Construction Company to hasten up with the work.

They noted that since the front of their shops had been excavated to enable them construct the drainage, they now found it difficult assessing their shops and consumers patronizing them.

As at the time of filing this report, the project manager of Roadwell Construction Company was not on site but a source in the company who refused to give his identity said the road would be ready before the end of 2023.

It would be recalled that on May 29, 2023, in Asaba during his swearing in as Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oboreowori promised that special attention would be given to roads in Warri and environs.
