…Alcaraz handed easiest Wimbledon draw, Djokovic only 2nd.

The 2023 Wimbledon ATP tournament opens July 3rd.

Suffice to state that while the Serb, Novak Djokovic, is aiming to win his record-equalling eighth Wimbledon title and 24th Grand Slam title, the 20-year-old Spaniard, Carlos Alcaraz, is obviously the only one able to stop him.

Since the draw was released, Wimbledon has left subjective opinions to fans discourse of who between Djokovic and Alcaraz has received easy or difficult draw.

With the help of IBM’s artificial intelligence (AI), the 2023 Wimbledon tournament organizers were able to determine the complication of a conceivable path to the final for all players.

Tennis-infinity.com reports that according to the AI, it’s Alcaraz, who will play against Jeremy Chardy in the first round, who received the most favourable draw of all players in the men’s singles draw. Following Alcaraz is Novak Djokovic, with the second most favourable draw.

Of worth noting is that both Alcaraz and Djokovic have the easiest draw with the most difficult challenges in the draw, and not having to face themselves, makes the draw clearly easy.

Trailing the two heavyweight favourites are Casper Ruud and Daniil Medvedev. Although the Norwegian has the third easiest draw, his Russian playmate received the fourth most favourable draw at the 2023 Wimbledon.

Notably, Alexander Zverev, who can play against the 2021 Wimbledon finalist Matteo Berrettini, or this year’s Queen’s Club finalist Alex de Minaur already in the third round, and then against the first-seeded Carlos Alcaraz in the fourth round, has the fifth easiest draw according to the AI.

Meanwhile, British wild cards received some of the most difficult draws. Arthur Fery who is set to play against Daniil Medvedev has the second most difficult draw. George Loffhagen, who will take on Holger Rune received the third least favourable draw.
Ryan Peniston will take on two-time Wimbledon champion Andy Murray, and according to the AI, he has the sixth most difficult draw.

However, Lloyd Harris has the most difficult draw. Harris will play against Gregoire Barrere in the first round with a viable third-round battle with Casper Ruud.
