Some commuters and traders have bemoaned the state of PTI Road by Effurun Market in Uvwie Local Government Area, describing it as highly deplorable.
Those that spoke to newsmen on Wednesday attributed the bad spots as the cause of the constant traffic jams on that section of the road.
A commercial tricycle (keke) rider, Jones Okon disclosed that desperate commuters had resorted to plying the axial roads in Alaka community in a bid to avoid the road.
A resident of Alaka community, Madam Roseline Onajite confirmed the claim of the keke rider as she stated that the state of the bad spots on the road was worse when it rained.
A female trader, Agnes Akero complained that the deplorable state of the road had made some buyers to avoid patronizing the market as she stated that such buyers often complained about the constant traffic jams on the road.
All the respondents appealed to the Delta State Government to rehabilitate the road from the Effurun section of the Warr-Sapele Road up to the bypass section of the road by Alegbo Junction axis.
