The people of Isah Ogwashi in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State have been called upon to continue to live in peace and unity for the purpose of development.
Apostle Blessed Utomi made the call in a chat with newsmen in his country home at Isah-Ogwashi on Sunday.
He said Isah-Ogwashi was a peaceful community and urged residents of the area to see peace, truth and unity as their watchwords as development does not go to a place of rancour and disunity.
Apostle Utomi, a renowned farmer, said that the Utomi family (Umu Utomi) were the founder and first descendants of Isah-Ogwashi and the idea of non-indigenes resident in the community fighting members of the Utomi family over land was uncalled for and would never be accepted.
He urged residents of the area to see one another as one, think of peace and development of the community and avoid actions that were capable of truncating the peace reigning in the community.
Apostle Utomi, who has contributed immensely to the development of the community, said Utomi family would continue to ensure peace and development of Isah-Ogwashi.
