The Federal Government has withdrawn a contempt suit filed against Organised Labour, following a threat by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) to revisit a nationwide protest against the high cost of living it suspended last Wednesday.

It was purported in the suit, that the NLC and TUC were resisting an order restricting the unions from embarking on industrial action.

NLC President Joe Ajaero, said the National Executive Committee of the NLC had resolved to take further action on the position of the Industrial Court and Ministry of Justice through the Solicitor General of the Federation.
