Uriel Oputa, known simply as Uriel, on Sunday became the second housemate to be evicted from the 8th edition of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show tagged All Stars edition. She follows on the heels of Princess who was evicted on Sunday August 6, 2023.

Incidentally, the two housemates evicted so far are female.

After the votes for the week for all the housemates that were up for possible eviction, Uriel and Seyi Awolowo emerged the two housemates with the least number of votes from viewers.

In line with the new twist for eviction announced by organisers of the reality show in the first week of the ongoing season, the jury had to save one of the two housemates and evict the other from the show.

The jury for last week consisted of Bisola, Dorathy and Mike Edward. Yesterday, Biggie brought in Laycon (winner of ‘Lockdown’ edition), Teddy A and Diane as members of the jury. The jury voted to evict Uriel Oputa.

Uriel was a controversial figure in the house. She was known for her outspoken personality and her willingness to stir up drama. She also had disagreements with some housemates like Whitemoney and Princess.

However, she disclosed that she was close with him outside the house, yet he bullied her in the kitchen.

Uriel’s eviction was met with mixed reactions from fans of the show. The fans were disappointed because she wasn’t the housemate with the least vote.

Uriel’s eviction leaves 15 housemates remaining in the reality show. The next eviction will take place next Sunday, August 20, 2023.
