Edo State-born singer Divine Ikubor, popularly known by his stage name Rema, has yet again earned himself congratulations from fans all over the globe as his album, ‘Rave and Roses’, breaks legendary Afro-Juju musician King Sunny Ade’s 41-year record for the longest charting Nigerian album.

Rema’s ever-blazing and versatile album, ‘Rave and Roses’, which explored a wide range of sounds, has spent 30 weeks on billboard chart 200, becoming the longest charting Nigerian album. The album peaked at #81 on it first entry and is currently at #137.

The ‘Charm’ crooner broke the record previously held by Afro-Juju maestro King Sunny Ade’s album ‘Juju Music’, which charted for a total of 29 weeks and was unbroken for the past 41 years.

In the same vein, Rema’s ‘Calm Down Remix’ has become the longest charting Afrobeats song on the billboard hot 100 charts, spending a total of 40 weeks and peaking at No 3.

The Jonzing World/Mavin signee, who is known for his catchphrase ‘Straight outta Benin’, has been a source of pride and joy to the Edo people as he creates records and paves the way for up and coming artistes.
