The Edo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon. Chris Osa Nehikhare, on behalf of the government and people of Edo State, has commiserated with the family of late former Commissioner for Budget, Hajia Mariam Abubakar.
In a statement, Nehikhare said the government was saddened by the news of the passing of the former Commissioner for Budget, whom he described as a hardworking woman.
“The former commissioner was a hardworking woman and gave herself freely to the service of her community. In the course of her career, she contributed her part to the development of the State,” Nehikhare said.
“She will be remembered for her loving and caring nature and her commitment to her family and service to her community.
“We commiserate with members of her family, friends and associates of the departed, and pray that God grants all the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” he said.
