In furtherance to Godwin Obaseki’s commitment to providing adequate housing infrastructure in Edo State, Edo State Development and Property Corporation (ESDPC) has on behalf of the State, signed a Joint Venture (JV) Agreement with Median Infrastructure Development Limited on the 17th of August 2023 to develop a 46 Luxury Apartments in the Government Reservation Area, Benin City.

The Luxury Apartments, situated on a Land Area of 7,755sqm, will have three Blocks on six floors, each with a lift. This stunning development has unmatched, spacious apartments with all amenities provided. It is located along Reservation Road, directly opposite the Golf Course and is expected to be completed within the next 12 months.

Speaking during the agreement signing ceremony, the Managing Director of ESDPC, Mr. John Zedomi, said the good people of Edo State are very expectant of the realisation of this magnificent project, noting that apart from the Golf Mews, which has been completed, this luxury apartment is the second project of its kind that ESDPC is handling on behalf of Edo State Government.

Zedomi emphasised, “There is an existing high standard, but having worked with Median Infrastructure Development Limited in the past few weeks on the designs and layouts, I have no doubt that this particular project will certainly be an upgrade to what was done in the Golf Mews.”

While welcoming the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Median Infrastructure Limited, Engr. Olumide Akinsanya and his Management Technical team, Mr. John Zedomi, expressed hope of exciting times in the near future.

On his part, the Chief Executive Officer of Median Infrastructure, Engr. Olumide Akinsanya, stated that Median would want people to have their apartments according to their taste. While assuring quality delivery in the shortest possible time, he noted that Median Technical Team would allow the clients to have been spoken to before finishing within the confines of their apartments.

Akinsana said: “We have a sterling record in our previous projects, and ESDPC have done their due diligence. We will deliver an extremely spacious development that will please the dwellers and buyers of the apartments.”

He added, “The other thing we want you to know is that we will hit the ground running immediately, and we intend to finish in less than 12 months, barring all unforeseen circumstances.”

“If COVID-19 comes up again tomorrow, you won’t hold Median responsible, and we have seen that happen. We do not pray that it will happen again, but we want to deliver on time,” Akinsanya emphasised.

The 46 luxury apartments project will have CCTV surveillance, green area and playground, mini mart, standard swimming pool, gymnasium and indoor sports facilities for table tennis, badminton etc.

Present at the ceremony on the part of ESDPC were Mr.John Zedomi, Managing Director, ESDPC, Arc. Bose Idegbesor, Executive Director, Technical, ESDPC; Quantity Surveyor and Head of Projects, Mr. Patrick Zegar; Head of Legal Department, Barr. (Mrs.) Joyce Odiase, Company Secretary, Barr. (Mrs.) Nelly Oseghale, Head Media, Oboh Sylvester; Head of Accounts, Mrs. Augusta Ogbejiele; and Senior State Counsel, Barr. Osarenotor Osapkolor from the Ministry of Justice, supervised the signing ceremony.

On the part of Median Infrastructure Development Limited were the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Engr. Olumide Akinsanya; Otunba Sule Gbenga; Dr. Allen Duze, Architect Consultant.

Also present were Miss. Osamede Iyobosa and ESV Osagie Alfred of West Norwood Realty, amongst others.

Highlights of the agreement ceremony was the signing of relevant documents and handing over of the site to Median Infrastructure Development Limited.
