Nigerian musician Seun Kuti is set to play the role of Fela Anikulapo Kuti in ‘77: The Festac Conspiracy’, an upcoming movie by Izu Ojukwu.

Seun, the youngest son of the late Afrobeat legend and activist, will play the character of his father in the historical drama.

Pulse Entertainment reports that recent pictures of the production released by What Kept Me Up show Seun Kuti delivering an energetic performance.

Lovers of the musician can expect to see their favourite take on this very dynamic role, which goes beyond musical performance into his fathers’ intense role during that period.

‘77: The Festac Conspiracy’ will be Seun Kuti’s second acting feature, following his debut in the action thriller titled ‘No Man’s Land’.

The production has gone on to its post-production stage, but so far, no date for its premiere has been released.
