Edo Queens FC snatched a 2-1 victory over Remo Stars Ladies at the ongoing Match Day 4 Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament on Monday at the UNIBEN Sports Complex, Benin City.


Remo Stars Ladies started off strong with an early goal by Arubo Oluwaseyi, giving them a 1-0 lead against Edo Queens in the 15th minute. Abideen Suliat from Edo Queens leveled the scoreline at first half stop time.

Following the second half resumption time, Edo Queens increased their attacking intensity against the Ogun state team, leading to a penalty goal by Suliat Abideen in the 90th minute.

Esther Moses of Edo Queens was absolutely outstanding in the Match Day 4 game, and was awarded the well-deserved title of Most Valuable Player. Her performance was truly remarkable.
