The Isagba of Ogwashi-Uku kingdom, Chief Jude Ndudi Ozah has called on the people of the area to continue to live in peace and unity, shunning disputes for the purpose of development.

Chief Ozah made the call on Saturday when he celebrated New Yam Festival in his country home at Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State.

He said peace was the wheel on which development manifest, urging all to be peaceful at all times and be their brother’s keeper.

The Isagba said the significance of New Yam Festival was to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the kingdom and equally to thank God, for bountiful harvest.

Dr. Ozah urged the people to see culture as a way of life, adding that Ogwashi-Uku culture was one of the best cultures in the world.

The peoples of Aguleri Community, resident at Ogbe-Onicha, Ogwashi-Uku, the Omu of Ogwashi-Uku kingdom, Ogbueshi Edith Rafua, and barrister Ignatius Mosindi, who were all present to celebrate with Chief Ozah, described him as a great pillar to Ogwashi-Uku kingdom.

They opined that Chief Ozah was a Godsent to the people of Ogbe-Onicha and Ogwashi-Uku in general, adding that Ogwashi-Uku would become a small London, should the community have five people like Chief Ozah.

They noted that Chief Ozah’s philanthropic gesture was rare on the planet earth, saying that Chief Ozah was a father of the fatherless.
