The Board of Directors of Mater Africa has congratulated singer, actor, anchorman, producer and a coordinator of Mater Africa, Mr. John Asiemo, popularly known as Daddy Showkey, on his appointment by the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) as an ambassador.

The President of Mater Africa Association Italy-Nigeria, Albarto Cicala, in a statement on behalf of the Board members, said Daddy Showkey’s appointment was well-deserved.

“We are happy that as an ambassador, you will successfully lead the campaign against the use of drugs because you do not indulge in drinking or smoking and therefore you will be a good ambassador for so many people in the country where there is high rate of the use of illicit drugs,” the statement said.

“It is our earnest expectation that you will succeed in the task ahead and do what you know how to do best touching the lives of the people positively,” it added.
