Delta State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Community Support Services and Girl-Child Development, Orode Uduaghan has commended the Obediently Sheriffied Movement in the state for supporting Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevweri of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the last general election.

She made the commendation on Monday in Asaba the Delta State capital during a courtesy visit to her office by the group, stressing that the M.O.R.E. agenda of the new administration would deliver democratic dividends to Deltans.

The commissioner further stated that the state governor was passionate about the wellbeing of the people and that he had demonstrated it through various people friendly programmes and policies geared towards uplifting the living standard of the people of the state.

Earlier, the Team Lead, Comrade Bright Igbinakenzua, said that the Obediently Sheriffied Movement had no party affiliation but was quick to add that the movement supports candidates with credibility and people-oriented programmes.

“Presently, we are not a political Party and we have no Party affiliation but we support candidates with credible programme like the M.O.R.E. Agenda of the state Governor,” he revealed.

Comrade Igbinakenzua said that, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevweri-led government, composed of youths, was a testament to the fact that the Obediently Sheriff Movement was in order to have thrown its weight behind the governor during the last general election.

He applauded the commissioner for her humanitarian activities outside politics, and that the group was in her office to felicitate with her on her appointment, tagging it ‘well deserved’.

Madam Stephanie Amadin, a member of the movement, urged the commissioner to ensure that more women benefits from the state’s empowerment programme.
