The Edo State Commissioner for Youth and Humanitarian Affairs, Hon Zubairu Dada Abubakar has urged the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Edo State chapter and other associations in the state to collaborate with the state government to bring back morals in the schools and to Make Edo Great Again.

The commissioner who made the call during courtesy visits of the NYCN and other youth-based organizations in his office in Benin City said the easiest way to inculcate discipline is to engage the youths and enlighten them on the dangers of negative vices.

He said the government door is open for fresh ideas and partnerships, adding that subvention and two buses have been approved for the NYCN, as there are moves to give bursary to students.

According to him, the government is ready to partner youth organizations, but they have to be able to use their network to seek for sponsorship of some aspects of their programmes, while the government will take part of the financing.

The commissioner advised those who want to go into small scale businesses to look at the opportunities in the Bank of Agriculture and Bank of Industry where they can access funds from since they already have one of the requirements, cooperative that can guarantee individuals.

During the different meetings with the Commissioner, the Youth groups executive promised to work with the government to achieve its goals and they congratulated the Commissioner for the appointment which they noted was well deserved because of his pedigree as a youth ambassador.

The youth groups that paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner are National Youth Council of Nigeria, Youth Achievers Support and Empowerment Initiative, Young Muslim Jamaat and Agape Intelligence Marshal.
